So they say it comes in threes! Well, it started with the washer breaking down and it wouldn't spin unless I started the spin by hand - so Dann bought me a new washer and it's wonderful! I really like it.

Then the second thing: One day we happened to notice this in the wall above the downstairs bathroom - we touched it and it caved in like it is now - It was wet and soggy - the upstairs bathroom was leaking down the wall. I thought it was from Nathan and Jason - when they shower they get water all over the bathroom floor - but no - Dann fixed the faucets and discovered the leak was on the inside of the shower/tub wall - needless to say he had to take the tile off to fix it so he decided he would get me the new tub that I asked for and just take all the old out and fix it not realizing the problems that this would create. We went to Home Depot and picked out a new tub and tile for the floor.
Dann tore all the tile off of the wall and his brother Terry came over to help get the tub out - well this tub was not going to come out easily and it was very heavy - so they put on some protective glasses and Nathan, Dann, Terry and David took turns hitting it until it broke in two. Actually I left for the store so I don't know who took a turn at breaking it, but the above were here along with Debbie who took the pictures to document the breaking of the tub.
I'll post more pictures tomorrow. . .

I'M ANNOYED BUT REALLY HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE!!!!!
Jon set up a sage reader for me so I can click it and check to see who has updated their blogs. It has most everyone's blog on it but not all of the ones that I read. I get so annoyed everytime I check it and NO ONE has updated their blog! Then I think "well, I haven't updated mine in so long how can I be annoyed" but I am. Really, don't you all have anything better to do than update your blog so I will have something new to read and look at everyday? Not many of you leave comments on mine and I am guilty of that also so that makes me think that no one is looking at it so why update it. I've also become really bad at taking pictures. I had Marcella for a couple days and I took two pictures. She was out playing in the snow and I tried to get her before she came in but I was too late and I was going to have her go back out in the snow but she had already started taking her snow stuff off. So that is what I took a picture of. The other day I thought I should get my camera and take a picture of Jason - he was building a snow hill to slide down on his snowboard and then was going to slide across his rail - he was getting on top of the hill and putting his snowboard on and would usually slide off before he got the other foot in. I wanted a picture but I thought "no by the time I get the camera the moment will have passed", so I didn't go get the camera. Nathan and Amy built an igloo and I wish I would have taken a picture of them doing that. I'm slacking off and need to do better. Dann has been working on his truck and I should have documented that also - it's just not a good idea to go out in the garage while he is working on vehicles, he gets very frustrated. I hope that you all went to the worldwide leadership training meeting and if you didn't hopefully you can view it online, it was really good. This year it was for everyone 18 and older - not just those in leadership callings. Worth hearing if you didn't get to it! So, now that I have updated my blog and vented I hope to see updates on all those that read this! Leave comments please!!!!
So I can know who is actually looking at this.

A funny: Marcella put herself in time out last night - she was mad because Dann took away the spray bottle - she wouldn't stop spraying us - she ran into the bathroom - closed the door while dann was telling her to come out and come here - she told him - "No Grandpa, I'm in time out" she shut the door then we heard her say okay I'm ready to come out now - she came out and Dann said to her - does mom always put y ou in time out and she said no - only when I'm mad!

Rosalee tagged me and I'm suppose to list 8 things that no one knows about me - that's a hard one!

1. I've lived in Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Washington and Utah again.

2. We moved 11 times in the first 8 years of our marriage and have now lived in the same house since 1989.

3. I have h ad 8 pregnancies but only 4 living children - can you imagine if all 8 had lived - I'd have more grey hair than I do now. It would have been crazy and fun.

4. I'm shy

5. I graduated from airline school as a ticket agent and never did anything with it until recently when I applied at Jet Blue and was turned down after a couple interviews - why - due to my shyness probably and how nervous I got when they interviewed me - dumb I know - I can't believe at my age I still get nervous when talking to people.

6. I love horses and wanted to have a horse one day - my dad promised that I could get a horse when we moved from Arizona to Idaho - didn't happen though.

7. I'm addicted to chocolate!

8. I would like to start over in raising my kids and I would change a lot of things that I did or didn't do. It's no reflection on them because I feel that they are all pretty amazing and I love them dearly - I just would change some of the ways that I acted and did things.

and just so you know - I'm done with tags - so no more tags please!
I tag Nanette and Debbie

And this is the last of them from my camera - Nathan what are you doing pinching Jasons on the butt?! They were opening the new home theatre system that Santa brought them.

Marcella wanted to help everyone open their gifts - it was cute - she did get bored with that after awhile. She had fun playing with her kitchen, table, chair, tea set, food, pots and pans.

More Christmas pictures!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! We had a fun, enjoyable, relaxing day. We enjoyed being together and I think everyone was happy with what they got for Christmas - here are a few pictures with more to come.

Happy Birthday to Kanien and Jason. We celebrated their birthday's on Friday night with opening presents, dinner, cake and ice cream and then on Saturday night we went to the zoo and out for hot chocolate. After the zoo Jason went on a date with his friend Ashley and Nathan and Amy.

I was tagged by Jon's sister Kristen. I guess I am suppose to write about 6 habits, hobbies or memories that I have about me and then tag other people to do the same thing.

1. I love to read and I can read a book pretty fast. I use to just buy all my books but thanks to Jon telling me "why don't you just go to the library and get books" I have started doing that. I get around 10 books and usually take them back in two weeks time or less. The funny thing though, which I'm not sure if it's my mentality or comes from old age, is that several times I have checked out a book that I have already read, not recognizing it until I'm into the first chapter and then I think this book sounds so familiar to discover that I have already read it. I wish that when I go to the library that I would just recognize the title or the cover!

2. A memory that I have is spending time with my grandparents every summer in Emery, Utah. I loved going there and being with them. My one regret is that when my grandparents died we didn't keep their home in the family. They lived on a farm and the town of Emery probably has never had more than 500 people living in the town. We would walk from my grandparents home to Eldreds store at the end of the street. Probably a mile or less. We would buy penny candy. Emery consisted of Eldred's store and gas station, a library, a church, rest area, baseball diamond (park) , a bar and the post office. I loved to ride horses when we were there. They had two horses Old Charlie and Old Paint. My grandma would save all kinds of things for us so that we could play in the play house (she had it all set up outside for us) we would make mud pies and spend hours playing there. Lot's of good memories. I miss it.

3. In our first 8 years of marriage we moved 10 times. We started out in a little house on Sunlower in Boise, Idaho. We then moved to a duplex in Boise from there to Salina Utah and while we lived in Salina we moved 4 times. From Salina we moved back to Boise and in with my mom for a little while and then into married housing. From there we moved into a duplex on patricia lane and then we bought our first home in Boise on Canterbury. We then moved in 1981 to Layton, Utah and have been in the same home ever since then.

4. A habit that I have that I only do at night before I go to bed is chew on ice - usually a couple glass fulls and that is usually only when I'm not with anyone and reading a book or on the computer. I have broken two teeth in the last six months by doing this so I'm trying to not chew the ice.

5. Something that I would like to do more of and haven't really expressed it to anyone but really enjoyed it when I did it several years ago is cross country skiing. I should pursue that more with Dann. It was my one and only time of going a few years back and it wasn't easy but I did enjoy it and I think I should as long as I don't have to go downhill.

6. I love spending time with my family and doing things with them. Playing games, talking, baking, crafts - I enjoy my time with them and I am really enjoying being a grandma. I wish Jason enjoyed being home more and doing things with me - maybe someday he will.

I tag - Dann, David, Rosalee, Nathan and Amy

I received an early Christmas suprise. Nathan suprised me with a new couch for Christmas. He wanted me to stay out of the room until Christmas but that was impossible so he gave it to me before Christmas. It is really nice. I love it. So does Nathan he slept on it last night. Haven't asked him yet if it was comfortable to sleep on. When we were in Idaho for Thanksgiving we saw my brothers and so when he went shopping and saw this he knew that I liked Rod and Janet's couch so he got this one. I really like it. Thanks Nathan.
