We are proud grandparents again - twice - On August 9, 2008 Claire Sophia Wallin was born. she weighed 6 lbs. and was 20 inches long.
On August 17, 2008 William Floyd (hope I spelled that right) Dougal was born. He weighed 5 lbs. 12 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long.
I am trying to post pictures of them but when I try to upload the pictures it says internal error. I am going to go for a walk and will try again when I get back.

William is doing good. They thought they might have to put him on oxygen at first but ended up not having to. He was born 3 weeks early.

Claire is in intensive care. She has been on a ventilator which she is now off of. she has also been on oxygen and last night and today was the first time she was off of that. In order for her to go home she needs to eat on her own, gain weight and be off of everything. She is doing a lot better than she was a week ago. It is a slow process and might take a little longer before she is doing those things. We are excited for the day she comes home and are trying to be patient for that day.

I hope I got all the above information right - if not I blame it on old age and forgetfulness.

When Marcella comes to visit she has a shadow by the name of chester. He pretty much follows her around when she is outside. She use to be scarred of him but has pretty much overcome that. She will grab him by the hair and say come on Chester or move Chester. She loves to feed him and sometimes she pretends to be him and will want to be put in his kennel. When she is playing Chester she doesn't talk much. She will beg and do things that Chester does. She took the picture of Grandpa - He thought it was pretty funny - she came into his office climbed up on his air mattress and said smile grandpa.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID
Since I was at girls camp for Davids birthday on the 6th of August, we planned to celebrate it on the 9th at David's home. We ended up celebrating it in Salt Lake at St. Mark's hospital in the lobby. We didn't have cake so we passed around the snickers that he got and all had a bite. I would say Jason took the biggest bite. As you can see Dad, Jason and Nathan were showing their best side for one of the pictures above.
girls camp was August 5-8 at Lake Lyman. We had a fun time. I didn't take many pictures. We are suppose to be getting a cd from the sister that was assigned to take pictures so I didn't carry my camera around. The bishop had to dress the part of Moses. This is him reinacting the parting of the red sea. It is so pretty at Lake Lyman. We have a group picture of our ward yw's and the leaders that went. The other picture is of the girls and the bishop playing ride the pony

These are all the pictures that I have taken since my last post. Pretty pitiful huh! I need to start taking more pictures but I'm just not into the picture taking thing like I use to be. This is Kanien getting a pedicure and manicure from Ashley - Jason's girlfriend. (didn't take a picture of the pedicure) Carson wanted me to take a picture of him with the lego robot that he built. Then there is a picture of Chester who now gets to be in the house most of the time. He likes to play with toys and follow me around the house. Rosalee tells me that Marcella says that Chester is her best friend and that she pretends to be Chester at home. The last pictures are of a baby shower that we gave Rosalee and David. We invited ward members from our ward and Rosalee's familiy ward. I think Marcella took most of the pictures. Not too much has been going on this summer. Dann is getting ready to retire from the military in a couple days so we have not gone anywhere because he didn't want to use any of his vacation time so he can still get paid for awhile after he retires and hopefully finds another job in that time. I leave on Tuesday for girls camp. We are homebodies and don't have much to post about. I enjoy the time that Marcella spends at our house. We enjoy having her around along with the rest of the family and are looking forward to having two more grandchildren one this month and one next month. Nathan moved out and is living with some friends helping to take care of the place they are staying at. I have been busy with the young women and still watching Carson and Nikiya, canning and doing yard work.
